In cities all over the world, housing is becoming unaffordable while homelessness is increasing. Although housing is recognized as an international human right, it often seems to be perceived as a commodity. How can we move away from housing as an investment to a home - a place to live in dignity? What does it mean for policy and practice when we start to imply the right to housing?
